The Bladez Moby Comp is the highest level scooter offered from Bladez. Like its Moby siblings, the Comp features a belt reduction transmission and a reliable Tanaka engine, but this scooter also has a set of front shocks.
Like all full-size gas scooters released from Bladez this scooter is extremely rugged and worry free. With the suspension in the front and maintenance free belt transmission in the back, this scooter is arguably one of the best cruisers ever to make it to market.

Like the other Bladez Mobys, the Comp has a simple belt transmission which connects the drive belt to the rear wheel. The double pulley, a heavy steel double gear, can be lightened to improve performance.

Brakes[]
The Comp has two braking mechanisms: the front, hand operated, mechanical disc brake and the rear, foot-pedal brake.
Front Disc[]
The font disc brake is operated via a hand level on the handlebars which operate a bowden cable which runs down the support pole and compresses the calipers.
Rear Pedal[]

The rear pedal brake is a simple lever which decelerates the scooter by pressing a rubber pad onto the surface of the wheel. Since this contact is made in the same area where the wheel makes contact with the road, driving conditions can drastically affect the performance of this brake. Though, under dry conditions, this brake's power is more than adequate.
Throttle[]
The throttle is a simple finger lever which operates a bowden cable which is routed down through the support pole and deck to the carb.

The Comp was most commonly constructed in Taiwan with the final product assembled in the US.

The Comp began production in ??? and production ceased in early 2007 when BladeZ sold its rights to the brand in order to focus more on its other markets.

This scooter comes stock with a Tanaka 35 or Tanaka 40 which should last for the life of the scooter if it is properly looked after.

The clutch shaft and its bearings[]
A common point of failure for the Bladez belt transmission is the top shaft. It is constructed of a thin bar that will eventually work its way out of the bearings which hold it it place. This problem can be avoided by checking the state of the shaft's bearings often, but it is a good idea to keep a few top shafts handy in case of failure.
